If you follow my Instagram, you know that I am always drawing. Earlier this year (2015), I did a 30 day art challenge where I drew for 30 minutes each day and uploaded the drawings to instagram. I found my self drawing for hours at a time instead of for only 30 minutes. I couldn’t stop. And even though I completed my challenge a couple weeks ago, I haven’t stopped drawing since.
Now, I’m not drawing every day, but I’m probably drawing 6 days out of the week. Mostly, they are small drawings: bookmarks, postcards and some miniatures (1″x1″), but I did complete the following drawing and used it to start working with watercolors. I tried watercolors years ago, but couldn’t get the hang of them, but I bought some watercolor pencils a while back and gave them a try. They are much easier to work with. I color in the areas when I want dense color and use clean water to pull the color to where I want it more translucent.
I have decided to make this drawing available as desktop wallpaper. Just right click the following sizes and save: 800×600 1024×768 1280×1024 1600×1200 Let me know what you think with a comment below!
